The Global Agnikarma Centre has organized an International Webinar on “AGNIKARMA – Ayurveda Pain Management – Scientific and Evidence-based Approach” on Sunday 23rd January 2022.

This was the 6th of its kind, the scientific event on this subject of Agnikarma by Global Agnikarma Centre.

Participants including Vaidyas, Ayurveda students, Doctors, and Ayurveda lovers from 26 Indian states and international participants from 22 countries including the UK, France, Germany, USA, UAE, Switzerland, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Australia, Belgium, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Trinidad, Morocco, Vietnam, Pakistan, Nepal, Srilanka, and Qatar were registered for the event.

The Chief Guest Dr. Mahendrabhai Munjpara, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India), the Guests of Honour Dr. Anup Thakar ( Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar, Gujarat, India.) and Dr. Sudhir Shah (Eminent Neurologist, Director of Neurosciences at Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.) appreciated the scientific application of the Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) treatment by Global Agnikarma Centre and shared their views on the need of holistic approach for pain management.

In a scientific session, Dr. Nikolaos Kostopoulos, Director of the Holistic Health Centre, Athens, Greece, explained the basic scientific principles of Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) and shared his clinical experiences of Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) treatment on some chronic pain patients. The audience was fascinated with the results of the Agnikarma treatment. He expressed his love and respect for Ayurveda.

Dr. Camillus Power, Ex. Dean of Faculty of Pain Medicine, Dublin, Ireland, shared his expertise to explain possible scientific mechanisms of Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) and shared his views on clinical aspects of Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) in some of his patients.

Vaidya Asvin Barot, Eminent International Ayurveda Consultant and Researcher, in his unique way of teaching and explaining the fundamentals of Ayurveda, encouraged and sparked young Vaidyas and students to learn and practice scientific and evidence-based Ayurveda and Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery).

The Patients’ clinical case presentation session was a highlight of the event. A live demonstration of Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) procedure and the patients having a range of pathologies of back, knee, cervical and migraine treated successfully with Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) were shown with clinical evidence. The participants were greatly impressed and fascinated by the effectiveness of Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) treatment.
The participants especially young Vaidyas and students were inspired and motivated to find this webinar incredibly informative, scientific and the most practical event on Agnikarma (Thermal Microcautery) hence this event had a tremendous response and a great success.
